The Agency said in a post on the X platform today, Friday: “Gaza residents are still being subjected to forced displacement.”
It added: "Since the start of the military attack on Rafah on May 6, more than 630,000 people have been forced to flee the city."
It continued: "Many took refuge in the city of Deir al-Balah (in the middle of the Gaza Strip), which has now become overcrowded and suffering from miserable conditions."
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees called for an "immediate ceasefire."
The Israeli army forces dropped leaflets on the displaced people in the city of Rafah last week, asking them to leave the city to the center of the Strip in order to begin a limited military operation in Rafah. /End
