Baghdad / NINA / - The Bulgarian website "Fakti.bg" revealed the presence of seven US military refueling planes at Sofia Airport, amid escalating tensions in the Middle East and the possibility of a strike against Iran.
The website quoted analyst Milen Keremdichev as saying, "The airport is also hosting three military cargo planes and large aircraft for transporting military personnel," indicating that "the likely target of these movements is Iran."
This comes as Iran and the United States held talks on the nuclear issue in Geneva under Omani auspices, while Washington had previously sent a naval fleet and additional military units to the Gulf.
