The Intelligence Agency.. Arrested 6 accused of drug and arms trade and blackmailing citizens in Karbala
Baghdad / NINA / - The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency arrested 6 persons accused of drug and arms trade, extortion of women and clan threats to intimidate citizens in Karbala.
The Agency stated in a statement that, coinciding with the commemoration of the Arbaeen ceremonies in the holy governorate of Karbala, the intelligence Agency launched a systematic security campaign in which it targeted a group of elected targets within the holy governorate of Karbala and various legal articles, the most important of which was their involvement in drug and weapons trafficking, and others in extorting women through the use of fake phone numbers and electronic accounts, while others committed the crime of clan squatting that would intimidate citizens and destabilize their security.
The Agency indicated that their statements were recorded and they openly admitted that they had committed these criminal acts, and they were referred to the concerned authorities in preparation for their appearance before the court./ End
