Karbala/NINA/ Commander of Karbala Operations, Lieutenant General Ali al-Hashemi, and Commander of Karbala Police, Major General Ahmed Ali Zuwayni, oversaw a large-scale preemptive operation in the northern sector of the province in preparation for the Mid-Sha'ban pilgrimage.
The operation was conducted with the participation of a joint force comprised of police emergency regiments, units from the Iraqi Army, the Popular Mobilization Forces, and security and intelligence agencies. It covered the areas of al-Khanafsa, al-Wand, al-Rafie, the al-Kulayni complex, and Arab Dhiab. The security measures included thorough searches and inspections of orchards, agricultural areas, and main and secondary roads, as well as the establishment of temporary checkpoints, a field survey of identified targets, and the inspection of abandoned houses and structures.
During the operation, judicial arrest warrants were executed against a number of wanted individuals, and several violators were apprehended and handed over to the relevant authorities. /End
