Baghdad / NINA / The Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, chaired today, Wednesday, a meeting that included the Baghdad Operations Commander, the Rusafa and Karkh police chiefs, directors of intelligence agencies, and the Director of Checkpoints and External Roads Affairs, regarding easing the burden on citizens and lifting checkpoints inside the capital, Baghdad.
The minister stressed, according to a statement by the ministry, "the need to work according to the plans drawn up in strengthening the accurate intelligence effort, and raising capabilities in line with the next stage while ensuring the security and stability of the capital, Baghdad , reiterating assurances on finding the best ways to ensure the smooth flow of street movement by lifting checkpoints and strengthening the presence of traffic policemen." / End
