السوداني يستقبل سفير الفاتيكان لدى العراق

بغداد/نينا/ استقبل رئيس مجلس الوزراء محمد شياع السوداني، عصر اليوم، سفير الكرسي البابوي لدى العراق ميتا ليسكوفار.

وأعرب السوداني بحسب بيان مكتبه الاعلامي، خلال اللقاء، عن تقديره الجهود التي بذلها السفير خلال مدة عمله في العراق، و جهود قداسة بابا الفاتيكان البابا فرنسيس الداعمة للقضايا الإنسانية، ومواقفه إلى جانب حقوق الشعوب، لاسيما خلال الظروف الصعبة التي مر بها الشعب العراقي في مواجهته مع الإرهاب، وقدرته في الحفاظ على التنوع والتآخي الوطني.

من جانبه، أبدى السفير البابوي تثمينه لجهود الحكومة العراقية الداعمة للاستقرار والأمن والسلام الإقليمي والدولي، مؤكداً عمق العلاقات التاريخية بين العراق وحاضرة الفاتيكان./انتهى7
