|Al Sabah newspaper staff arrange sit-in demanding dissolving its board of trusties|
|Baghdad (NINA) – A number of Al Sabah newspaper, affiliated from the Iraqi Media Network (IMN), staff arranged a sit-in demanding elections to select new members of the board of trusties, non-intervention in the newspaper’s affairs, and allocating a share from the advertisements income to the staff.
A source at Al Sabah told NINA that “more than 60 employees arranged a sit-in today demanding the dissolving of the board of trusties and holding elections for a new one. The newspaper suffers from interventions in its affairs, a matter that takes away many aspects of its professionalism. The staff also is demanding the allocation of 10% of the newspaper’s income, from advertisements, for them.”
National Alliance MP representative of the Prime Minister, Salman Al Musawi, received the demands and asked the staff to resume work, promising to meet their demands. /End/
