|On the side of None Allied meetings Zebari meets with his counterparts|
|Baghdad (NINA) – Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari reviewed with Kuwait's Foreign Minister, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Sabah, follow-ups the Second session of the Iraq-Kuwait High Ministerial Committee.
A statement issued on Wednesday, May 9, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that today's meeting in Sharm al-Sheikh, on the side of the Coordination Bureau of the None Allied States, stressed the high level of development of bilateral relations and prepare ground for holding more agreements between the two countries in the field of encouraging and protecting investment.
The statement pointed out that Zebari met with Iran's Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi, discussing bilateral relations and Iraq's preparations to host the 5+1 meeting on Iran's nuclear program.
Zebari also reviewed the relations between Iraq and Indonesia during his meeting with Indonesia's Foreign Minister, Marty Natalegawa, and their developments after Indonesia has reopened its embassy in Baghdad, as well as Indonesia's Foreign Minister's expected visit to Iraq.
Zebari met also with his Armenian counterpart discussing bilateral relations and Iraq's desire to open an embassy in Yerevan, as well as exchange of visits between both countries' officials.
He also discussed Iraq's relations with South Africa during his meeting with its Foreign Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, and the need to activate bilateral relations as well as establishing commercial relations between both countries.
The statement added that Zebari met with Elmar Mammadyarov, Azerbaijan Foreign Minister, discussing bilateral relations and the upcoming visit of the Azeri Foreign Minister to Baghdad, as well as Azerbaijan's intention to open an embassy in Baghdad.
In his meeting with Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister, Yerzhan Kazykhanov, on the side on the None Allied Conference, Zebari discussed Iraq's relations with Kazakhstan and means to activate them. / End.
