Baghdad (NINA) – Dawa Islamic Party called for activating the Social Peace Initiative and the Pact of Honor by all spectrum of the Iraqi.
In a statement to the press on Friday, Sep. 20, Dawa Party Media Bureau said that the Social Peace Initiative and the Pact of Honor are a positive step on the road to consolidate political understanding between components of political blocs, and consolidate the national front against foreign and domestic challenges.
The statement added that Dawa Party call for activating the initiative and supports it by the whole of Iraqi people, stressing the importance of integration and cooperation between all authorities and to strongly encounter terrorism and those who threat the country's security through supporting security agencies and military forces.
On Thursday, Sep. 19, a number of the country's political leaders signed the Pact of Honor, presented by Vice President, Khoda'yir al-Khuza'e.
The Pact consists of on working toward protect national unity of the Iraqi people and the peoples' fabric through preventing sectarianism and nationalism to divide the people; and to adopt the principle of dialogue as the only mean to dealt with the problems that hinder the country's political process. / End.
