BREAKING NEWS Force from Baghdad deployed east of Falluja, Anbar Council requests Arab League, UN to interfere

Ramadi (NINA) – Organizer at Anbar protest, Khamees al-Mohana, affirmed that a military force coming from Baghdad has camped east of Falluja.

In a statement to NINA on Wednesday, Jan. 9, Mohana said that most members of the force are Kurds; until now, the force has not moved to dislodge protestors.

He accused the government of being responsible of any action against unarmed protestors in Falluja or Ramadi.

Meanwhile, Anbar Councilman, Khamees al-Abtan, said, "We call on the Arab League and the United Nations to intervene to safeguard protestors in Anbar and monitor security forces, who are trying to draw their weapons against unarmed civilians and use force to put an end to peaceful protests in Anbar."

He pointed out that military forces in Anbar are provoking the protestors to create a problem, but protestors insist on keeping the protest peaceful. / End.
