Amara / NINA / four citizens were injured in Al-Salam district 40 km southwest of Maysan province when military forces opened fire at demonstrators , demanding for better services.
The reporter of (NINA) said that the protestors cut off the road links between Maysan- Dhi Qar and transform their demonstration to protest against the backdrop of preventing them by the army under pretext of not getting security clearance.
The head of the security and defense committee in the provincial council, Sarhan al-Ghalibi told the reporter / Nina / that Maysan Provincial Council decided, in an emergency meeting held today, to host the governor at a meeting will be held tomorrow to open an investigation to know the circumstances behind the incident.
For his part, President of the Council, Abdul-Hussein al-Sa'adi expressed his surprise that the competent authorities did not give official approvals for the demonstration, which he described as peaceful. / End
