Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said, "We have agreed with the Russians to reject military intervention in Syria and to cooperate with the UN envoy, Al-Akhdar Al-Ibrahimi, toward finding need solutions.
In a joint press conference with Russian President, Vladimir Putin held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, Maliki said that he has discussed the peoples' goals and demands to gain freedom through dialogue away from foreign intervention.
Maliki pointed out that an agreement has been reached on a road map for cooperation with Russia in all fields and to increase the volume of trade with it.
For his part, President Putin announced that an agreement reached on a number of issues, including, Economical, trade and military.
Putin added, "We are determined to consolidate our relations with Iraq and we are satisfied with the way our mutual relation are moving." He added, "Much of our points of views are identical, especially with regards to international issues." / End.
