Police officer escapes assassination in Ramadi

Ramadi (NINA) – A police officer escaped an assassination attempt on Saturday, Sep. 15, when an improvised explosive device went off against his car in downtown Ramadi.

Police source told NINA that an improvised explosive device, emplaced on the side of Ishreen Street in downtown Ramadi, went off when Colonel Majid Assaf's car approached.

He added that the blast resulted in damaging the car. / End.
