Religious authorities Hakeem, Najafi announce Sunday first day of Fitr Eid

Najaf (NINA) – Offices of the two religious authorities, Mohammed Saeed al-Hakeem and Basheer al-Najafi announced that tomorrow, Sunday, is the first day of the month of Shawal, which is the first day of Fitr Eid.

Najaf's Hawza Professor, Ihsan al-Fadhli, told NINA on Saturday, Aug. 18, that religious authority Hakeem has announced Sunday the first day of the holly Fitr Eid, while Sistani's Office announced that Sunday is the last day of Ramadan, making Monday the first day of Fitr Eid.

On the other hand, Office of the religious authority Sheikh Basheer al-Najafi, announce that Sunday is the first day of Fitr Eid; the Office of religious authority Ishaq al-Fayadh has yet to announce when the Eid starts.

Earlier religious authorites Khadhim al-Ha'iry, Kamal al-Haydari and Qasim al-Ta'e, announced that tomorrow, Sunday is the first day of Fitr Eid. / End.
