Baghdad (NINA) – The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq, Martin Kobler, condemned the explosions of Thursday in Baghdad and other Iraqi provinces.
In a statement to the press on Friday, Aug. 17, Kobler said that these attacks took place while Iraqis are looking forward to enjoy the Fitr Eid after the holy month of Ramdad, "I strongly condemn these attacks that breach the spirit of peace related to the holy month of Ramada.
It is noteworthy that Baghdad, Niniveh, Salaheddin and Anbar witnessed on Thursday series of explosions, attacks with car bombs and improvised explosive devices resulted in the killing and wounding tens of civilians and police and military men. / End.
