Baghdad (NINA) – President Jalal Talabani met in his residence in Germany with the Secretary General of the Iraqi Communist Party, Hameed Majeed Musa.
A statement issued on Thursday, Aug. 16, by the President's Office said that Musa visited President Talabani to congratulate him on the successful surgery he underwent.
In the meeting, Iraq's current political situation was discussed, during which Musa asserted Talabani's important role in bringing various points of view close together and his continued efforts in this regards.
Musa said that experience proved the importance of Talabani's presence at this time, because of his wisdom and ability in dismantling crisis the political process has gone through.
Assistant Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Barham Saleh, attended the meeting.
Talabani met also in his residence in Germany with lawmaker Safiya al-Sihail and former Minister of Human Rights, Bukhtyar Ameen, who visited him to congratulate him on the successful surgery the President underwent. / End.
