He pointed out that "Iraq has good relations with the Syrian regime, and at the same time we met the Syrian opposition, which was convinced in all Iraqi arguments, and we called them to visit Iraq, but the Gulf and the Turkish position has prevented that."
It is mentioned that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said during a meeting with Secretary of the Supreme Council for National Security of Iran, Saeed Jalili last Wednesday, that Iraq's position is to support any effort that the Syrian people to achieve their goals peacefully and through the dialogue and understanding and to avoid Syria and its people more tragedies, including helping to maintain the security and stability in the region. / End
