Al-Mutlaq asks Iraqi government to take clear position and condemn the massacres in Syria.

BAGHDAD / NINA / MP, for Iraqiya List, Hamid al-Mutlaq asked the Government to take a clear position towards the Syrian people and to condemn the crimes committed against them.

Mutlaq said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "there is no longer, for the Iraqi government, to stand neutrality towards the suffering of the Syrian people."

He added: "for the interests of the Iraqi and Syrian people, we have to take a clear position towards the bombing of cities, and about the future of Syria."

He stressed: "The moral, humanitarian and national responsibility calls us to take a clear and honest position with the Syrian people and work to stop the massacres against them," urging the Iraqi government to denounce and condemn the massacres. / End
