BAGHDAD / NINA / the Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq discussed with the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq Martin Kobler the conditions of Iraqis in Syria and the possibility of strengthening the role of the international organization to ease the difficulties and problems that faced the Iraqis in the worsening security crisis there.
A statement by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister said that "al-Mutlaq stressed the importance that UN should make other efforts to help Iraqis in Syria and facilitate their return and keep their money and property."
He added: "al-Mutlaq also discussed with Kubler, the humanitarian situation of the Syrian refugees in the camps and the border cities of Iraq , as well as the need that the UN Mission should contribute in providing the health and logistic supplies. The human rights file in Iraq and the conditions of prisons and prisoners have been discussed, adding that al-Mutlaq stressed the importance of stopping the abuse and assaults the law. / End
