BAGHDAD / NINA / Turkish Foreign Ministry summoned the Iraqi ambassador to Ankara, Abdul Amir Abu Tebeek, inquiring Iraqi statements about the visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to the Kurdistan region and Kirkuk province.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement yesterday evening that "Turkey told Abu Tebeek Ankara's protest on statements made by Iraqi officials concerning Oglu's visit to Kirkuk warning him that Baghdad's Officials should be" cautious "in their statements.
It is mentioned that the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu arrived last Wednesday, to the Kurdistan region, and then visited Kirkuk without the knowledge or notice from the Iraqi government.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry has criticized strongly the visit, considering it a blatant interference in Iraqi affairs./End
