BAGHDAD / NINA / the British embassy in Baghdad declared that experts from the British Ministry of Defense helped the Iraqi government to get rid of the remnants of the chemical weapons program, which was mostly destroyed in the period 1992-1994.
A statement from the embassy today said, "Experts from the Defense science and technology laboratories (DSTL) will train Iraqi personnel on the safe disposal of the remnants of munitions and chemical warfare materials which were destroyed during military operations in 1991, or by UNSCOM committee."
"The United Kingdom agreed to train Iraqis in the site of defense science and technology laboratories, in Protons Down, which is one of the global leadership centers of in the field of chemical defense." the statement added /End
