Mosul / NINA / Unidentified gunmen assassinated a policeman during his duty today , and a kidnapped man has been freed in two separate incidents in Mosul today.
A police source in Nineveh told/ NINA / that "gunmen, on foot, opened fire on a police officer in his duty at a checkpoint belonging to the local police near the bridge, central Mosul shooting him dead at once, fled to an unknown destination."
From other hand, the sources said "security force freed a kidnapped man during a security operation in al-Mansour district east of Mosul and detained one of his captors."
He added "The security forces arrested one of the kidnappers, who was guarding the hijacked, who was abducted in the first day of Ramadan," without giving further details. / End
