BAGHDAD / NINA / Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq described his meeting with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki as friendly and positive.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The meeting dealt with the tense political situation, whether internal or on the issues surrounding Iraq, because of the crises experienced by the region and their effect on Iraq."
He added: "The meeting stressed on the need to overcome all differences and to go towards one project which is to preserve the unity of Iraq" adding:" we have emphasized the need for a comprehensive national reconciliation and a general amnesty for all Iraqis, with the exception of those who proven that ,their hands stained with the blood of Iraqis. "
He explained: "The meeting also stressed on the need to resolve the political crisis in the country through the understanding and the dialogue to develop a general strategy for the management of the country."
It is mentioned that , the relationship between Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and his deputy al-Mutlaq saw recently a major tension due to al-Mutlaq's description to the Prime Minister as dictator which irritated Maliki, who described these statements as unacceptable. / End
