BAGHDAD / NINA / MP, Yassin al-Obeidi, of Iraqiya list from Kirkuk, declared "the information confirming that the command of (Dijla) Tigris will start functioning soon and it has ministerial order."
Obeidi said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA/: "The provinces of Diyala, Kirkuk and Salah al-Din in dire need of this leadership to manage the security file which had been deteriorating since 2003, that cost thousands lives of its people."
He added: "The formation of this command is constitutional and professional."
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has ordered Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Zaidi to take over the leadership / Diyala, Salahuddin and Kirkuk / operations. / End
