Erbil / NINA / Secretary General of the Ministry of Peshmerga, Major General Jabbar Yawar confirmed that there is no any order to form a new operations leadership called the leadership of east Tigris (Dijla) in the disputed areas.
Yawar said in a press statement, that the Ground Forces Command submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Defense by adding the12 squad of Diyala Operations Army Command which its leadership have been moved from Baquba to Khalis, exactly at the former headquarters of Camp Ashraf, which was occupied by elements of Ashraf organization.
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said during a meeting with the Governor of Kirkuk, Dr. Najm al-Din Karim that the security file in Kirkuk province should be run by the police. Yawar added.
It is mentioned that the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has ordered the chief of Diyala Operations commander Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Zaidi to take over the leadership of three provinces (Diyala, Salahuddin and Kirkuk) which is called the leadership of the Tigris. / End
