BAGHDAD / Nina / Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki discussed with the Iranian minister of Justice Morteza Bakhtiari the file of those convicted in the two countries.
A statement by the presidency today quoted the Prime Minister Maliki as saying during his meeting with Iranian minister "Iraq today has a good experience in the field of the judiciary, which enjoys full independence from the executive and legislative powers."
Maliki stressed on "the need to implement the agreements of exchanging convicts and strengthen the capacities of the Ministries of Justice and legal expertise in the two countries."
The meeting was attended by Iraqi Minister of Justice Hassan al-Shammari. / End
