Amara (NINA) – Chairman of Security and Defence Committee at Maysan's Provincial Council, Sarhan Salem al-Ghalibi, said that an intensive security plan has been set throughout the province following the terrorist attacks that took place in both Wasit and Qadisiya provinces during the Shaban's rituals.
Ghalibi told NINA on Wednesday, July 4, that all security commanders have been ordered to strengthen security measures in checkpoints and patrols, as well as intelligence activities.
Earlier in the day, Diwayiniya, in Qadisiya province, and Kut, in Wasit province, as well as Karbala, have witnessed explosions aimed against visitors to Karbala to perform the Shaban's rituals resulted in tens of killed and wounded. / End.
