BAGHDAD / Nina / foreign ministers Carl Baldig of Sweden and Radoslaw Sikorski of Poland arrived Baghdad this morning in an official visit to Baghdad. A Foreign Ministry source told / Nina /: "The two ministers arrived Baghdad to discuss the mechanisms implementation of the cooperation and partnership agreement between Iraq and the European Union."
The Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolai Miladinov had arrived Baghdad on Joun, 20 in an official visit for the same goal.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release on May, 20 last month that "three European foreign ministers intend to visit Iraq next month.
The ministry said that "Hoshyar Zebari met Polish Ambassador Stansoav Smoln and Swedish Chargé d'affaires and Director of the Political Section of the European Union Mission and discussed with them the proposed visit of the three foreign ministers of European countries Sweden, Poland and Bulgaria to Baghdad in the next month."
The ministry's statement said that "the three officials indicated that the three minister's visit aim to discuss with the Iraqi government the mechanisms of the implementation of cooperation and partnership agreement between Iraq and the European Union and political consultation on regional and international situations."
The statement pointed that "Zebari expressed his welcome to the visit and take the necessary measures to achieve them."/End
