Baghdad / NINA /-- Thousands of Sadrist followers demonstrated in Firdous Square central Baghdad this afternoon, demanding "freedom for media expression of opinion and not to muzzle the mouths.
The leader of the Sadrist trend Cleric , Muqtada al-Sadr denounced in a statement yesterday "the intervention of government in the work of independent media outlets and attempt to muzzle mouths .
He added : "The Iraqi media is a toy in the hand of the ruling power which is a very ugly conduct , criticizing especially the policy of the semi-official Iraqiya TV channel and radio stations influenced by the government . / End
