Police officer, civilian killed in eastern Anbar

Ramadi (NINA) – Gunmen assassinated, using guns with silencers, on Monday evening, June 18, a police officer at the rank of captain and a civilian in eastern Anbar province.

Police source told NINA that gunmen opened fire from a moving car at Captain Khamees al-Jumaili, and one of his relatives, while leaving his house in Shuwairan area, eastern Anbar.

He added that the attack resulted in the killing of Captain Jumaili and his relative; while police launched a search campaign looking for the attackers. / End.
