Baghdad / NINA /-- Sheikh Salah al-Obeidi the official spokesman for Cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, announced the start of the primaries elections of Sadrist candidates for the provincial councils in three southern Iraqi provinces of Basra, Maysan and Dhi Qar today.
He said in a press statement: "The election centers witnessed from the early hours of this morning a large turnout at all the polling stations.
He added: "The electronic fingerprinting was strictly used in these elections for the first time in Iraq, which welcomed by civil societies organizations who monitoring the elections." / End
