Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki stressed the necessity of cooperation between Iraq and Iran in oil and gas domain in service of both countries' interests. During a reception of the Iranian oil minister, Maliki stressed the importance of the national companies in the oil industries field and to support them to conduct bigger role in this field, according to a statement issued by his office. For his part, the Iranian official said "we conducted, in Baghdad, talks with the Oil and Electricity ministers through which we tackled supplying Iraq with gas and oil products and to install a pipeline for gas that goes through Iraq." He asserted the Iranian companies' capability to work in the oil refinery and gas excavations field. /End/
