White Iraqiya: Withdrawing confidence from Maliki's government will not happen, what is going on mere political pressure

Baghdad (NINA) – The White Iraqiya bloc said that withdrawing confidence from Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, Will not happened, what is going on is mere political pressure."

In a statement to the press on Saturday, June 2, the Bloc's Secretary General, Jamal al-Bateekh, said, "What is taking place now is mere political pressure by some for their own reasons, if they could they would have withdrawn confidence from Maliki before, not to wait for the media to stir up the issue up."

Bateekh added, "Maliki came through the ballots." He stressed the necessity for all political blocs to support the government in its efforts to provide services to citizens and build the state's institutions."

It is noteworthy that Iraqiya slate announced that it has obtained more than require signitures to withdraw confidence from Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.

In a statement to NINA, Iraqiya spokesperson, Maysoun al-Damalouji said that the political forces have been able to collect votes more than required (over than 163) to withdraw confidence from Maliki, gathering votes continue, and is expected to reach 200 signatures.

It is worth mentioning that it is required to obtain 164 votes out of Parliament members of 325 lawmakers to withdraw confidence from the government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. / End.
