Najaf (NINA) – British Ambassador to Iraq, Michael Aron, announced the intention of his country's companies to invest in Iraq.
In a joint press conference held with the Governor of Najaf, Adnan al-Zirfi, at the end of their meeting on Sunday, May 27, Ambassador Aron said, "Many British companies, including Rolls-Royce, have the desire to invest in Iraq, and Najaf in particular, especially in the fields of oil, gas, housing, agriculture and electricity."
Aron pointed out that, "Important British firms in the fields of oil and gas, such as Shell and British Petroleum companies, have investments in southern Iraq." For his part, Governor of Najaf, Adnan al-Zerfi, said that he discussed with the British Ambassador the province's need in the fields of tourism, oil and agriculture. / End.
