Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of the Sadrist Trend criticized the decision of Deputy Prime Minister for energy affairs and the Minister of Oil to stop supplying Kurdistan region with fuel.
A statement issued by Sadr's Office quoted him saying that such individual decisions make the political situation more complicated and increase the harm inflicted on the Iraqi people.
Sadr called on all sides to, "resort to dialogue and abandon discord."
A Presidential statement issued on May 21, said that on the request of President Jalal Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein al-Shahristani, ordered one month postponement of not supplying Kurdistan region with fuel, until the situation is dealt with.
Earlier, Oil Minister, Abdul Kareem Luaibi had ordered stop supplying Kurdistan region with fuel. / End.
