Sadr : Maliki asking Obama extending the emergency state over Iraq for an additional year aims at exercising pressure on his opponents.

Baghdad / NINA /--Cleric Muqtada al-Sadr head of the Sadrist trend denounced demand by PM, Nuri al-Maliki to US, president Barak Obama to extended the emergency state over Iraq for an additional year and described this move as a mere political pressure against his opponents.

Sad press office quoted him as responding on a question about al-Maliki’s demand stressing that this move "may be just a political pressure to be exercised on certain political opponents to distract their sustain position with us." / End
