Baghdad / NINA /-- Cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, head of the Sadrist trend described the process of burning the Turkish flag in the province of Basra, as childish and reckless policy.
Sadr's press office quoted him as responding to a question about this issue : “ Burning flags of neighboring countries, including of course the Turkish flag represent a flagrant repercussion of a big childish mistake but is just point a reckless policy.
It’s noteworthy to mention in this context that dozens of civil society organizations in Basra city recently demanded during a demonstration in front of Turkey's consulate in the province to stop the Turkish interventions in Iraqi affairs, as said , and to end "harboring" Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, where some demonstrators burned the Turkish flag. / End
