Baghdad (NINA) – The first round of 5+1 negotiations concerning Iran's nuclear issues has ended.
Source close to the negotiations said, "The first round ended, and bilateral meeting between Iranian delegation, on one side, and other delegations, on the other." He added that the Iranian delegation met with the Chinese delegation and Catherine Ashton, the European Union's High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, it is expected to meet with the Russian delegation.
The source added that another round of negotiations will be held on the evening, during which the Iranian delegation is expected to receive the other side's response to its suggestions.
He explained that during the first round Iranian delegation presented five axis related to the nuclear topic, as well as other topics.
The first round of negotiations started on Wednesday noon, Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, attended it.
The Security Council's five-member state and Germany in addition to the European Union's High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, as well as Iran's delegation, headed by the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Saeed Jalili, are taking part in the negotiations. / End.
