Baghdad (NINA) - Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari confirmed Iraq's keenness to address the issue of Iran's nuclear program.
A statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoted Zebari as saying, during a meeting with delegations participating in the meeting of 5 + 1 at Baghdad Airport "Iraq is keen to address the issue of Iran's nuclear program in accordance with international obligations and the interests and rights of states to exploit nuclear energy for peaceful purposes."
Meetings of the 5 +1 began in Baghdad this afternoon on Iran's nuclear file in the presence of Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.
The Commissioner for Foreign Policy of the EU Catherine Ashton arrived this morning in Baghdad along with the heads of political departments of the five permanent UN Security Council (USA, Russia, Britain, France and China) and Germany. /End/
