Baghdad (NINA) - Iraq's non-resident Ambassador in Singapore Mr. Ismael Shafeeq informed the Singapore President, Tony Tan Keng, with the developments in Iraq on the political and economic levels as well as the democratic changes.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today said "Shafeeq met, on the sidelines of the Presidential Annual Ceremony for Heads of the Diplomatic Missions in Singapore, with the Singapore President and explained to him the Iraqi government's and people's efforts to eliminate terror, a thing that encouraged the world companies to invest in Iraq.
It added that the Ambassador also met the Singapore Prime Minister, Mr. Lee Hussein Long, who stressed his country's companies' readiness to invest in Iraq.
The two sides also reviewed the development of diplomatic relations between the two countries and exchange of official visits on the highest levels. /End/
