Baghdad (NINA) – President Jalal Talabani exchanged with Secretary General of the Iraqi national Accord Movement and Leader of the Iraqiya Slate, Dr. Iyad Allawi, and the delegation accompanying him viewpoints about “a number of issues on the Iraqi arena.”
A presidential statement said that Talabani referred pointed out during the meeting which was present by Kurdistan Vice President Kosert Rasoul and a number of officials that “it is important to look for common points among the political parties to facilitate laying solutions and to come out with comprehensive national solution.”
Talabani confirmed the necessity of limiting differences and expand understandings and to strengthen the brotherly ties among political parties.”
For his part, Allawi appreciated the central role played by Talabani in the democratic political process and in building the Iraqi state, reiterating the importance to continue this national role. /End/
