Lami warns officials’ guards from aggressions against journalist after the endorsement of the JPL
09/08/2011 13:59:00

Baghdad (NINA) – Journalists Syndicate Chairman, Muayad Al Lami, warned the security services and officials’ guards “from aggressions against any journalist as it would put them under legal questioning after the Journalists Protection Law was endorsed.”

In a press conference today, Lami said “I address all guards that the JPL was endorsed, anyone who assaults a journalist will face legal penalty.”

He added that “we want subjective press, and we do not accept that a journalist assaults a civilian, but, on the other hand, we do not accept any assault against any journalist.” /End/
