Correspondent of Ahad Satellite Channel escapes assassination in Dijail

Tikrit (NINA) – An assassination attempt against Khamees al-Khazraji, correspondent of al-Ahad Satellite Channel, failed when an improvised explosive device emplaced near his house in Dijail district went off on Sunday evening, Aug. 7.

Police source told NINA that unknown gunmen emplaced an improvised explosive device near al-Khazraji’s house in western Dijail.

He added that a citizen reported emplacing the improvised explosive device; explosive ordnance disposal team was called deactivating the IED with no incident. / End.
