Baghdad (NINA) –Head of the National Iraqi Olympic Committee Ra’ad Hamoudi assured that if the chief of the Iraqi Football Association Hussein Saeed came to Baghdad and nominated during the general elections of the IFA, “I will vote for him.”

“Saeed understands that the IFA should not be run from outside Baghdad,” Hamoudi stated to the National Iraqi News Agency Saturday.

“I support IFA’s success as well as Saeed’s mission,” he added.

Hamoudi clarified that “The IFA is part of the INOC and not an independent institute.”

He denied reports over nominating himself for the presidency of the IAF, noting that “Nominations of IFA have not been started to nominate myself.” /End/
