Mosul / NINA / The MP, for the province of Nineveh, Nora al-Bejari revealed that some polling stations in the province are under the control of insurgents, but she called on citizens to participate in the Nineveh provincial council elections scheduled on 20, June.

She told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "the security situation in the province of Nineveh is deteriorating due to clashes between armed groups and security forces in the right side of Mosul," noting that this confused situation will affect the rate of participation in the local elections.

It is mentioned that five car bombs went off last Monday followed by armed clashes on the right side of the city of Mosul that killed and wounded 134, while the governor of Nineveh province, who heads an electoral list, escaped an assassination attempt as well as the assassination of another candidate on Friday. / End
