Baghdad (NINA) – The Prime Minister's Advisor, Ali al-Mosawi, said that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has to intention to visit Kurdistan Region at present.
In a statement to NINA on Sunday, March 3, Mosawi said that Kurdistan Region is part of Iraq and the Prime Minister can visit the Region whenever he wishes.
Member of the State of Law Alliance, Adnan al-Saraj, had expected that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki would pay a visit ot Kurdistan Region soon.
In a statement to NINA, Saraj said that Maliki will visit the Region in the coming days, and he will be accompanied by a number of officials.
He added that the visit's date will be set during the State of Law meeting on Sunday.
Saraj went on saying that Maliki will visit the Region after having receive some positive signals from the Region on solving outstanding issues in accordance with the Constitution, which agrees with the Central Government's views.
A source close to the Region's Presidency suggested that Maliki would visit the Erbil and meets with Barazani to find a way out for the crisis.
The source told NINA that at the end of last week, Barazani started series of consultations with other Kurdish sides to reach an agreement on solving the problems Iraq is suffering from. / End.
