Sadr calls for peaceful demonstration in support of the Palestinian people

Najaf (NINA) – Leader of the Sadrist Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called on his followers to go out on a peaceful demonstration after Friday's Prayer, Feb. 22, in support of the Palestinian People and their detainees, in particular.

A statement issued on Wednesday, Feb. 20, by Sadr's Office in Najaf, said, "I feel religiously, ethically and ideologically obliged to call for a peaceful demonstration in support of the Palestinian people, in general, and their detainees inside Israeli prisons, in particular, who are suffering from Israeli security's torture. / End.
