BAGHDAD / NINA / MP, of the state of law coalition, Khalid al-Asadi said that "The lack of agreement at the meeting of five led to the absence of the Iraqiya from the meeting of the political blocs."
Asadi told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "Everyone had hoped that Iraqiya would attend the meeting, especially with what the country is going through of critical situations, which everyone should take his role carefully and responsibly."
Asadi said, "The current stage is not a stage of scoring political points, but it is a stage of challenges and risks for the political process and the unity and stability of the country and everyone should be aware its seriousness."
He explained, "The Iraqiya's delegation was present with all its members, who attended the previous meeting and the failure to reach a consensus on some points led them not to attend the meeting of the political blocs."
The Iraqiya did not attend the meeting of the political blocs yesterday evening at the home of the President of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari and also withdrew from the meeting of the Committee of Five.
A source in the office of the leader of the Iraqiya coalition, Saleh al-Mutlaq said earlier yesterday: "The meeting of the political blocs to be held today will be crucial for the Iraqiya and to the demands of the protesters," adding that "there is a meeting of the Committee of Five preceded and pave it." / End
