Baghdad/ NINA /--Iraqiya Slate coalition demanded an immediate investigation on the assassination attempt that targeted the leading member of the IS ,Rafie al-Issawi , and find out the culprits.
The IS condemned in a statement what called: "The continued miserable and criminal attempts to target the leaders and members of the IS, the latest is a bomb explosion targeted Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi and the motorcade and his accompanying delegation in Abu Ghraib area , from which they narrowly survived.
The statement added: "The explosive was planted near a checkpoint in Abu Ghraib at the same site where targeted a number of MPs and leading members of the IS coalition in the past few months, describing this context as is surprising .
The IS held the commander in chief of the armed forces full responsibility to protect the lives of citizens in general, and political figures in particular.
It is noteworthy to mention in this context that a bomb exploded yesterday targeted the convoy of Rafie al-Issawi in Abu Ghraib area west of Baghdad. / End
