BAGHDAD / NINA / Muqtada al-Sader, The leader of the Sadrist movement called Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to head directly to the people and listen to the demands of the demonstrators.
Sader said in a press statement: "Sending delegations by al-Maliki has a very minor advantage, and I advise him to go to the people who demonstrate in the provinces, and I ask the protesters to be highly responsible to receive him."
He called the politicians not to intervene in the demands of the demonstrators saying: "We do not want to politicize the demonstrations, and not to make them for Tariq or Rafie (referring to Tareq al-Hashemi, Rafie al-Issawi) or other, we are people with the national demands, not political, sectarian and partisan".
Concerning President Jalal Talabani, Al-Sader said "It has become imperative for politicians to seek to resolve the issue of the President, or the dictatorship will spread from the prime minister to the presidency and will complicate things worse and make them difficult to be resolve," hoping health and wellness to the president.
He called on everyone to take responsibility and listen to the voice of the Grand religious leaders and the people. / End
